Terms & Conditions – Merrybet Nigeria

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) set out the rules for using the Merrybet online sportsbook and casino (“Merrybet”, “we”, “us”, “our”, the “Site”). By opening an account, logging in, depositing money or placing any bet, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not accept these Terms, please do not use the Site.

Who can use Merrybet

You may only use Merrybet if:

• you are at least 18 years old (or above the legal gambling age in your area, if higher);
• you are in Nigeria when placing bets or playing games;
• you are legally allowed to take part in online betting;
• you are not self-excluded or otherwise banned from gambling.

We may ask for proof of age, identity and address at any time. If we cannot confirm that you meet these requirements, your account may be suspended or closed and funds handled in line with applicable laws and regulations.

Opening and managing your account

• Each person may hold only one Merrybet account. Duplicate or shared accounts may be closed.
• During registration you must provide accurate details (name, date of birth, address, mobile number, email).
• You must keep your login details (password, PIN, codes) secret. Anything done on the Site after your login and before you tell us about a security problem is treated as done by you.
• If you suspect that someone else has access to your account, change your password immediately and contact customer support.

We may carry out verification checks (KYC/AML). We can ask you to upload ID documents, proof of address and proof that you own the payment method used. Until this process is complete, we can limit deposits, bets and withdrawals.

Deposits and withdrawals

All balances and bets on Merrybet are held in Nigerian naira (₦).

Deposits

• You can deposit only through the methods shown in the cashier.
• Funds must come from payment instruments held in your own name.
• Minimum and maximum limits depend on the method and may change.
• We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by banks or other payment providers.

Withdrawals

• You may request a withdrawal of available funds through the cashier.
• Where possible, withdrawals are sent back to the same payment method used to deposit, or to another method in your own name.
• We may ask for extra verification before paying out.
• If any money is credited to your account by mistake, we may reverse the transaction and you must cooperate in returning such funds.

Merrybet is not a bank or money transfer service. Your account must be used only for betting and gaming purposes.

Bets, games and results

When you place a bet or start a game, you confirm that:

• you understand the rules of the relevant market or game;
• you are satisfied with the odds or payout structure shown on screen.

A bet is considered accepted when it has been received by our server, has a valid reference and appears in your bet history. Once accepted, it cannot normally be cancelled by you.

Settlement of sports bets:

• is based on official results as supplied by our data providers or competition organisers at the time of settlement;
• may be adjusted if there is an obvious error (for example, clearly wrong odds or teams reversed).

If an event is cancelled, postponed or abandoned, or if there is a technical error, bets may be voided or settled according to our Sports Betting Rules, which form part of these Terms.

Casino and virtual games use certified random number generators (RNG) or streamed results. If a game round malfunctions, that round is usually void and stakes may be refunded or the game restored to the last correct state.

Bonuses, free bets and promotions

From time to time we offer promotions, including welcome offers (such as multi-level deposit bonuses and free bets for new customers).

• Each promotion has its own Bonus Terms (wagering, eligible bets/games, expiry, limits).
• Bonus money and free bets are not the same as real cash and cannot normally be withdrawn directly.
• If wagering or other conditions are not met, unused bonuses and related winnings may be removed.

We may cancel or change a promotion for legal, technical or operational reasons, but we will always act fairly and in line with published rules. Any attempt to abuse bonuses (for example, by using multiple accounts, collusion or risk-free betting patterns) can lead to removal of bonuses, voiding of winnings and closure of the account.

Fair use and misuse of the Site

You agree not to:

• use the Site for illegal activities;
• let anyone else use your account;
• use robots, scripts or other automated tools to place bets or play games;
• try to hack, manipulate or disrupt our systems;
• try to exploit obvious errors in odds, software or bonuses.

We may investigate any suspicious behaviour. If we reasonably believe that you have broken these rules, we may suspend or close your account, void bets, forfeit bonuses and, if necessary, report the matter to the authorities or regulators.

Inactive accounts and closure

If you do not log in or use your account for a long period, it may be treated as inactive. We may:

• contact you using your registered details;
• close the account after a defined period of inactivity;
• attempt to return any remaining real-money balance to you, subject to verification and legal requirements.

You can ask us to close your account at any time. You may also request temporary breaks or self-exclusion if you want to stop betting for a period. Details are provided in our Responsible Gaming section.

Responsible gaming

Merrybet is a service for adult entertainment only and must not be used as a way to solve financial problems.

• Only customers 18+ may open an account and place bets.
• You should bet with money you can afford to lose and set personal limits if needed.
• Taking breaks from betting is encouraged.
• Do not gamble when tired, stressed, under alcohol or other substances.

Changes, contact and governing law

These Terms and your relationship with Merrybet are governed by the laws of Nigeria. Any dispute will be handled in line with Nigerian law and, where applicable, the requirements of our regulators.
